The Center offers its services to woman in both English and Arabic Languages. There are Individual Sessions and Support Group Sessions. In both sessions, the psychological theory or approach applied would be chosen and tailored according to your own special needs and circumstances. 

     Those sessions  are like a journey  we go through together. It's a journey of healing, self-discovery, adjustment,  growth and empowerment. By the last session, I will still be here to help someone else and you will go on with your own life journey stronger, more independent and equipped with a lot of skills that will help you deal with whatever comes next, on your own

The Individual Sessions are 50 minute sessions in which you and I (Lisa) sit together every week or every 2 weeks or as much as you need the sessions to be. The first session will be an introductory, assessment session. In this session, we will get to know each other and what it is that you need me to help you with and what you would like to achieve; "your final destination". The next step will be forming an action plan together; 'your journey route'. The next few sessions, we will be going through it together. That would take us a few sessions, till you feel you are ready to go on your journey on your own.       

The Support Group Sessions are also 50 minutes, but this time you will have between 5 - 7 other women with you in the session who are going through the same experience you are going through. These sessions are to support you in your difficult moment, not only by the experience and knowledge of a Psychologist, but also by sharing your special experience with other women. You gain more understanding of yourself and your experience by using the the others who are going through the same experience as your mirror. Everyone in the group becomes a mirror for the other. Also, sharing the experience will help feel that you are not alone and that you are not the only one going through this. It would help you rediscover, accept and love yourself the way you really are. The different kinds of groups are announced on this website. There are groups to support divorced women, widows, students and parents. There are also support groups for Depression, Anxiety, beside Loss and Grieving Support Groups. More groups can be added on demand. Please feel free to suggest any group you feel you might need.  

I know how hard it is to decide to go to a psychologist. So many questions go through your mind. What can she do anyway? What would I say and what would I keep to myself? Would she really care and understand? These are normal thoughts. You will be asking a stranger to share with you your most important experiences and feelings. It is not an easy decision. I will tell you something that might make you feel better about letting me share your journey with you. It is proven by research that the relationship between the Psychologist and the client is a very important factor in helping. I like to think, of the relationship between you and me, like I think about falling in love or finding an intimate friend. When we meet someone new, there is a certain hidden chemistry that works deep inside us without any known reason. From the first session, you will feel whether you are comfortable with me or not. You will know whether I genuinely care or not. If you do not feel comfortable, all you have to do is not make another appointment. So the best scenario is that you have found the help you need. The worst scenario is that you will have to look for another Psychologist. My bet is on the best scenario.   

Also, in our journey together, you are in complete control. You are the driver and I am the navigator. You tell me where you want to go. I show you the way. You drive us there. You might have a diagnostic issue, a relationship or long term problem. Whatever it is, we will handle it step by step, with a plan we will put together. Sometimes, you might not want to work on the long term issues and have a present everyday issue that you would like to discuss, ask for advice or even just talk it out. We can do that too. In your sessions, it is your time to be you and to do what you want, with my help.
